Her work at the ATO and ASIC involved dealing in a range of matters including complex taxation disputes and investigations and litigation of suspected breaches of consumer credit, financial services and corporations’ legislation across a number of areas including misleading and deceptive conduct, unconscionable conduct, fraud and breaches of directors' duties.
Having the unique experience of dealing with legal matters from both sides of the coin, it allows Marissa to understand the perspective and approach of regulators.
