About Liyan
Liyan has a specific focus in Norman Waterhouse’s International Trade and Investment, and Business Migration practices.
Liyan joined Norman Waterhouse in 2017 as a law clerk before commencing as a Solicitor in the Corporate & Commercial team in 2018.
She was admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia in 2017 after completing a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (Chinese for Background Speakers and Advanced Japanese) at the University of Adelaide.
Liyan has a particular focus on supporting her clients with international intellectual property registration, protection and enforcement strategies.
Liyan has experience assisting clients across a range of industries including agribusiness, wine, value-added food and beverages, FMCG, tourism, entertainment, gaming, medical devices, skincare and cosmetics, retail and education.
Liyan also provides support to Norman Waterhouse’s business consulting arm, NW Alliance, which advises and supports international investors regarding Australian investment projects as well as strategic buyers seeking to purchase and export South Australian products.
