Emmaline knew her passion lay in family law as soon as she commenced her law degree.

During her time at University, Emmaline began working as a clerk in a boutique Adelaide law firm and also spent significant time shadowing some of Adelaide’s most senior family law barristers.

Emmaline graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2020 with a double degree in Law and Arts, majoring in politics with a minor in history. She was admitted to practice as a barrister and solicitor in the Supreme Court of South Australia and the High Court of Australia in June 2021.

Emmaline then commenced her career working exclusively in family law at an Adelaide law firm.

Shortly thereafter, she obtained employment as an Associate to His Honour Judge McGinn in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. Emmaline was extremely fortunate to be mentored by His Honour and gained an invaluable understanding of the judicial system.

Emmaline then returned to private practice and practiced exclusively in family law at a boutique Adelaide law firm, before commencing at Norman Waterhouse in July 2024.

Emmaline understands that family separation can be one of life’s most challenging times. She provides a compassionate and empathetic approach to her clients but balances this with competent and realistic advice.
