Bullying and Harassment in the Workplace

Bullying and harassment can have a significant impact not only on the victim, but the culture of the entire organisation. As an employer and a PCBU, councils have a primary duty of care to ensure the health and safety of their employees. That includes ensuring their employees are not exposed to the risk of psychological harm from bullying and harassment.

Norman Waterhouse is pleased to offer the opportunity for your council to receive exclusive, expert led all staff training that will give your council the tools to tackling and avoiding incidents of misconduct, bullying and harassment.

This all staff session will set out what is considered bullying and harassment and how to respond and investigate into complaints to ensure the health and safety of employees and the organisational culture are not jeopardised.

Training is an essential part of risk management that all councils must engage in.

  • Definition of bullying and harassment;
  • Obligations of employees and employers under the WHS Act 2012 (SA);
  • Define reasonable management action taken in a reasonable manner;
  • Reporting process for complaints and support for your employees; and
  • Dealing with disputes.
