Norman Waterhouse

The Norman Waterhouse Summer Clerkship Program is a great opportunity for final and penultimate year law students to gain hands on, paid experience within a leading Adelaide commercial law firm.

Our program offers participants the opportunity to spend four weeks working within their chosen area of law.

As a Summer Clerk at Norman Waterhouse you are offered the opportunity to work with highly regarded and respected practitioners who are experts in their respective areas of practice. A number of our practitioners began with the firm as Summer Clerks.

During the four week program, you may perform a variety of duties such as drafting correspondence of advice, research and attending client interviews, firm meetings and events. Also, when the opportunity presents you may observe attendance at court and other pre-trial stages such as mediation conferences, negotiation and direct hearings.

With the fluctuation of workloads in our practice areas, it isn’t always possible for each of our practice teams to offer a placement, therefore, we ask you to include in your application your top three preferences.

Norman Waterhouse Lawyers is excited to be participating in the Uniform Clerkship Scheme again in 2025
