Employment - Drink drive a company car...

Each Australian business, regardless of which industry, should have well-documented and comprehensive workplace policies and procedures. Having such policies provide guidance to employees with respect to company expectations and standards, and set a framework for accountability and decision making within the workplace.

A common issue that affects companies is the use of company vehicles. In the recent case of Sam Chisholm v Coates Hire Operations Pty Ltd Limited [2015] FWC 3653 (‘Chisholm v Coates’), the company was protected from the unfair dismissal application due to its strong motor vehicle policy.
